  1. Iola Disc Golf - 2 Person Scramble Registration Deadline

    Saturday, September 17, 2022 at the Elm Creek Disc Golf Course, located at the south end of S. Washington St., Iola, KS. Team registration only, pre-registration required, and all participants must have a signed and complete registration form on file before participating. Players must be 18 years of age and older. Teams may consist of a 2-man team, a 2-woman team, or a man and woman team. Best shot (play best throw). Two teams play together throughout the full course. The course consists of 13 holes, teams will play through twice, for a total of 26 holes. Players will need to bring their own standard sized discs. Two mulligans per person max may be purchased and paid at registration. Two flights will be determined, and the top three teams in each flight will receive prizes.

  2. Boot Camp

    Boot camp will consist of a combination of weights, cardio and resistance loops. Mondays and Wednesdays will focus on upper body areas, and Tuesdays and Thursdays will focus on lower body areas. Suggested gear: light weights (5 lbs. or less), water bottle and towel. This Morning Class will be instructed by Megan Cole. Monday-Thursday mornings from 5:30-6:00 AM. All classes will be held at the Recreation Building, 500 Park Ave., Riverside Park. 18 years of age and older may participate. Register at the Recreation Office prior to the first class, or with Megan the first day of class. For more information contact the Recreation Office at 620-365-4990.

  3. Open Walking and Senior-Cise Class

    Open Walking Monday-Friday, 8:00 am-5:00 pm, at the Recreation Building. For safety reasons, when there are events going on in the gym, walkers are encouraged to walk in the Little Theater. Enjoy climate-controlled walking at your own pace. Closed holidays and special events. Hours available can vary each day. Senior-cise Class Monday-Friday mornings, 9:00 am-10:00 am, at the Recreation Building, excluding holidays and special events. Low-impact aerobics class incorporating yoga, cardio, balance and strength training.

  4. Noon Stretch and Strength Class

    Low impact group fitness class, using a combination of traditional yoga poses, mobility exercises, core training and breath work. By the end of the session, participants should notice an improvement in mobility and core strength. Students will need a yoga mat for the class; 2 yoga blocks, yoga strap, water and towel are suggested. Sarah Noah will be instructing these classes on Monday and Thursday afternoons from 12:00-1:00 pm. All classes will be held at the Recreation Building, 500 Park Ave., Riverside Park. $35.00 class fee. Give it a try and join us for one class for just $5.00! Ages 18 years of age and older may participate. Register at the Recreation Office prior to the first class, or register with Sarah the first day of class.
