Municipal Court - Trial

Boot Camp

Boot camp will consist of a combination of weights, cardio and resistance loops. Mondays and Wednesdays will focus on upper body areas, and Tuesdays and Thursdays will focus on lower body areas. Suggested gear: light weights (5 lbs. or less), water bottle and towel. This Morning Class will be instructed by Megan Cole. Monday-Thursday mornings from 5:30-6:00 AM. All classes will be held at the Recreation Building, 500 Park Ave., Riverside Park. 18 years of age and older may participate. Register at the Recreation Office prior to the first class, or with Megan the first day of class. For more information contact the Recreation Office at 620-365-4990.

Open Walking and Senior-Cise Class

Open Walking Monday-Friday, 8:00 am-5:00 pm, at the Recreation Building. For safety reasons, when there are events going on in the gym, walkers are encouraged to walk in the Little Theater. Enjoy climate-controlled walking at your own pace. Closed holidays and special events. Hours available can vary each day. Senior-cise Class Monday-Friday mornings, 9:00 am-10:00 am, at the Recreation Building, excluding holidays and special events. Low-impact aerobics class incorporating yoga, cardio, balance and strength training.

MLB Pitch, Hit and Run Competition (Rescheduled)

Participants, in all four age divisions, may compete anytime between 6:30 pm – 8:00 pm. Individual competition time takes about 15 minutes. Ball Field #2, Riverside Park, 600 S. State St., Iola. All boys and girls ages 7-14. Age as of July 17, 2022. Boys and girls compete separately in age divisions: 7-8, 9-10, 11-12, and 13-14. Local Award: The top winner in each age division will receive a special prize! Pre-registration online before the event is preferred, or the day of at https://pitchhitrun2022.leagueapps.com/events/3094541-iola-recreation-department. Equipment: No metal spikes are allowed!! All other equipment needed for competition will be provided. Participants may use their own bat. Any type of bat is acceptable.
